In the dead of night, Qiu Zhibin returned to the Qiu residence in search of the real murder weapon. There, he fell into an ambush set by Qiu Haor and the police. It was all a deliberate trap. As they escorted Qiu Zhibin to the police station, an unexpected car accident occurred. Seizing the opportunity, Qiu Zhibin kidnapped Qiu Haor. Just then, another car arrived. Zhao Qibang rushed forward to save Qiu Haor, pushing her out of harms way but getting hit himself alongside Qiu Zhibin.

After receiving treatment, Zhao Qibang survived the ordeal but needed time to recover, leaving Qiu Haor feeling deeply guilty. Gao Jun sought out Qiu Haor, only to find her faithfully by Zhao Qibangs hospital bedside. Disheartened, Gao Jun departed. Eventually, Zhao Qibang regained consciousness, much to Qiu Haors relief. Qiu Zhitong asked Gao Jun if he was truly giving up. Gao Jun resignedly replied that after Zhao Qibang risked his life for Qiu Haor, he had decided to leave Hong Kong.

Qiu Zhitong relayed this to Qiu Haor, who surprisingly found solace in the idea, believing that a break from recent events might improve her spirits. A year later, Gao Jun checked into a hotel in Singapore and coincidentally met Qiu Zhitong at the front desk. They caught up, and Gao Jun congratulated her on becoming a CEO. Qiu Zhitong shared that Zhao Qibangs mother wasnt well, and to fulfill her wishes, Zhao Qibang had proposed to Qiu Haor, who had accepted. They were getting married next month. Gao Jun smiled through the facade and offered his best wishes.
